Food Lover's Market Unveils R58 Million Flagship Store at Castle Gate Lifestyle Centre
On 30 May 2024, Food Lover’s Market—South Africa’s largest privately owned family retailer—will open its stunning R58 million investment at Castle Gate Lifestyle Centre. The centre will include a signature Seattle Coffee Co. and Market Liquors. Construction on this 3500 sqm site started in February 2024, and this new flagship is set to offer shoppers an incredible one-stop shopping destination.
The Castle Gate store – a first for the Erasmuspark area – is adjacent to the N1 and located just off Soloman Mahlungu Drive in Pretoria. This world-class store will serve the surrounding communities of Waterkloof, Constantia Park, Waterkloof Glen, Moreleta Park, Elardus Park, and Erasmusrand.
To create a true “theatre of food,” Food Lover’s Market Castle Gate will feature animatronics, digital screens, wider aisles for easier shopping, departments designed as dedicated destinations, and energy efficiency, making the store a consumer delight.

- Hot foods boasting delicious, prepared foods such as Crispy Chicken, Bubs Fish & Chips and Pie O’My;
- The Fresh Society, Love Health and Health & Happiness dried fruit and nut bar will delight the health-conscious food lover.
- Customers will enjoy the Grab & Go selection of foods – including Sushi and a Biltong Bar.
- An artisan ice cream parlour at the store’s entrance will be a brand new addition to the in-store offering.
