Tshwane customers can log faults, request services via e-Tshwane

People can now use the metro’s various digital platforms in the comfort of their homes.

To make life easier and more bearable for its residents, the Tshwane Metro Municipality has urged its clients to use the e-Tshwane platform for quick response and services.

The service is aimed at providing convenience and effectiveness to residents, where they can report or lodge any complaints from the comfort of their homes.

Residents can use the telephone to call and log accounts queries or faults concerning water, electricity, roads, stormwater, potholes, streetlights, and sewers.

Those customers who happen to be close to the municipality’s office can enjoy face-to-face services at any of the metro’s 26 centres from Monday to Friday 07:45 to 15:15.

The municipality also encouraged those who are using smartphones or have an internet connection to log on to www.e-Tshwane.co.za to view their account, capture readings, make payments and log service requests.

Alternatively, they can use the WhatsApp application to register on 087 153 1001, which would allow them to view and access statements and submit meter readings or contact the municipality by sending them a direct message on their Facebook page.

According to the municipality, customers can also make payments while purchasing their groceries at accredited third-party pay points, such as Pick n Pay, Usave, OK, SPAR, Boxer, Caltex, BP, EP kiosks, the Post Office, Investec, MTN, FNB, Absa, Nedbank, Standard Bank, Shoprite or Checkers. You can also pay via electronic fund transfer.

“Customers can submit meter readings via e-Tshwane or at meterrecords@tshwane.gov.za by the billing calendar. Visit www.tshwane.gov.za, click on the e-Tshwane link, and follow the instructions.

“Customers can get a summary of their municipal account, pay their account, and download various forms to apply for and cancel services via e-Tshwane,” said the municipality.

The metro, however, reminded residents that before they could fully utilise the e-Tshwane services, they needed to first register, as non-registered customers won’t be able to get billing information.
