Mathys Roets at Safari, September 29

Safari Restaurant in Pretoria east is pleased to welcome back the legendary Mathys Roets, who last graced its stage 10 years ago.

Roets is bringing along singer Sarel Kleinhans to kick off the evening with music from his recently launched debut album.

The show starts at 19:30, and doors open from 18:00.

Ross Learmonth, September 29

South African rock royalty Prime Circle has enjoyed years of success. Now the voice of the legendary band, Ross Learmonth, has redefined his sound with his chart-topping debut solo album.

Learmonth has curated tours and performances across the world from South Africa to Germany and the UK over the last three years.

Get a taste of his musical journey at Atterbury Theatre on Friday from 19:00, featuring his career highlights and songs from his solo album, Carousel.

Routrip eenvrou toneelstuk, September 29

This one-woman play written by Johann Slabbert and performed by Elzabé Zietsman follows Helena’s tragicomic journey across the country after a failed suicide attempt.

Helena packs her suitcase of clothes and boxes of family items that she has been collecting all her life, distributing her collection with a final goodbye as she goes.

Catch the show from 19:30 at the Centurion Theatre.

Ryan Jones single launch, September 29

Ryan Jones will be hosting an intimate show at the theatre at Railways Café in Irene in honour of his debut single, “Oceans”.

Ahead of the special performance, local artists Rohan Mos and Nicola McLeod will amp up the vibes for a special night to remember.

Doors open at 18:00, with Jones hitting the stage from 21:00.

Waverley Plaza Fun and Food market, September 30

Waverley is getting its very own fun food market, with the first event promising to be a family-friendly bonanza. There will be great stalls and the market runs from 11:00 to 19:00 at the plaza in the Moot.

Pets on leashes are welcome.

Catch the best in local culture and creativity from 10:00 to 21:00 at Forest Hill City in Centurion.
