Royal Family gathers amid concerns for Queen’s health

The Queen is under medical supervision after doctors became concerned for her health, Buckingham Palace revealed on Thursday.

Members of the British royal family have been called to the Queen’s bedside as it seems her health was declining.

According to a statement from Buckingham Palace, Queen Elizabeth II is being held under medical supervision in Balmoral, Scotland, after her doctors became concerned about her health this morning.

All of the Queen’s children, as well as Prince William, are now by her bedside amid the concern.

“Following further evaluation this morning, the Queen’s doctors are concerned for Her Majesty’s health and have recommended she remain under medical supervision.

“The Queen remains comfortable and at Balmoral,” said a royal spokesperson.

Newly appointed Prime Minster, Liz Truss, said her thoughts and prayers are with the Queen and her family during this time.

“My thoughts – and the thoughts of people across our United Kingdom – are with Her Majesty the Queen and her family at this time.”

Concerns over the Queen’s health intensified yesterday after she had to cancel a privy council meeting at the last minute on doctors’ advice.

The Queen, aged 96, is the longest-serving monarch in the history of the United Kingdom, having held the position since 1952, serving a total of 70 years and 127 days.

Her Platinum Jubilee celebrated this milestone in February.
