Crime prevention and awareness campaign

SAPS embarked on a campaign that forms part of their #BackToBasic approach.

SAPS Tshwane North cluster and the visible policing division recently had a crime prevention and awareness campaign to address crime at the Mabopane train station and surrounding areas.

The campaign formed part of their #BackToBasics approach and formed an integral part of the division’s mandate of intensifying police visibility.

“The campaign was intended to show our continued commitment to rooting out crime and foster closer working relationships with the community at large, to create a safe and secure environment for all,” police said in a statement.

“We continue to call upon the community and commuters to be vigilant and provide information about potential criminality to the police, and also to report crimes diligently.”
