X-Fighters attract thousands of people

Thousands of people witnessed the Freestyle Motocross World Tour at the Union Buildings on Saturday.

The Union Buildings was the place to be on Saturday as 22 000 people filled up the venue to capacity to enjoy the Red Bull X-Fighters World Tour finale on South African Soil.

History was made as the 14th X-Fighters season went out with a roar for the first-time ever in South Africa.

Josh Sheehan of Australia was announced the overall winner in the final stop and of the entire tour after performing breathtaking tricks including the dangerous and difficult double backflip with ease.

The double backflip is still one of the scariest tricks in freestyle motor cross and are only performed by a handful of people since Travis Pastrana first did it in 2006.
