GALLERY: Centurion celebrates Pinotage Day in style

Many wine-lovers were treated to red, white, pink, sparkling and sweet pinotage wines for the first time.

Hundreds of festival-goers braved the cold and wet weather to attend the annual Pinotage and Biltong Festival at Leriba Hotel in Centurion on Saturday and Sunday.

The two-day festival commemorates International Pinotage Day on 13 October.

And Leriba Hotel in Centurion was the place to be for pinotage and biltong lovers, together with their family and friends.

“I had an amazing time with my friends and I also met new cool people, the festival rocked,” said festivalgoer Esteé Visser.

The people’s favourite annual “local is lekker” festival celebrated two of South Africa’s iconic products in Western Cape and Gauteng.

In Gauteng, wine lovers were afforded the opportunity to celebrate Pinotage Day in truly South African style with a variety of biltong from Billa ‘B & Co Biltong Deli’s products.
