Military fair a huge success

Voortrekker monument military fair's explosive exhibits blew the community away.

The Military Fair that took place at the Voortrekker Monument this morning blew the public’s mind by giving and showing them explosive information of what the military is all about.

The monument was approached four years ago by people selling military memorabilia to host annual fairs where people can exhibit their collections, sell them and even show the crowd how they operate.

Before the fair took place in Pretoria it was previously held in Johannesburg and it might have come across that only people in the Johannesburg area wanted to know about the military, but today’s turn-out proved otherwise. The Pretoria community has definitely shown an interest and is fortunate to have had the opportunity to experience such an event.

Apart from people who have made their own replicas of uniforms worn during the actual wars and battles, people such as Eugene Couzyn exhibited their own helicopters free of charge. One of the helicopters, the French Gazelle, was withdrawn from the service two months ago in Afghanistan.

The South African Defence Force also had exhibitions at the monument of their armour and defense equipment.

If weapons, uniforms and an interest in the army is your taste, this is the perfect fair to arouse your interest.
