Centurion woman taken by hijackers

A Centurion woman was left abandoned with her car in Tembisa on Monday night after she was hijacked on the R55.

A 31-year-old woman was hijacked and briefly abducted on Monday night while parking her car at Stone Ridge Estate, Centurion, on the R55, police said.

Spokesperson Lt-Col Katlego Mogale said the woman was approached by two men who held her at gunpoint.

“They ordered her to move to the passenger seat.”

The woman told police the hijackers abandoned her and her BMW in Tembisa when they saw a police car.

“The Olievenhoutbosch police are investigating,” Mogale said.
