School holds Open Day

Parents, pupils, teachers and family got together raise money for the school.

The Way Christian School held an Open and Fun Day to raise money for the school’s Astroturf grass on their sports grounds. It was held at the school’s premises in Centurion, Raslouw, on Saturday.

This was the fourth moneyraising event for the school.

The event was organised by the school’s Parent and Teacher Forum.

Speaking to the school’s deputy principal, Lee Snyman, she said: “The school raises money by doing laps at the school’s sports ground and after each lap made by a child a parent donates any amount money for that lap.”

“The money raised on the day will go towards the school,” said Snyman.

Other activities were selling sweets and hot dogs.

The parents, teachers and family friends participated in the raising of money by doing laps together with the pupils.
