Burger King™ Opening
People in Hatfield queued to enjoy food from an internationally famous fast food restaurant.
The streets of Hatfield was abuzz on Saturday while scores of hungry people queued to get a taste of the new fast food restaurant on the block.
The international food franchise BURGER KING™ Hatfield, officially opened its doors with many queuing not to miss out.
The franchise in Hatfield is the 18th addition to the BURGER KING™ South Africa family since it launched in Cape Town in May 2013. The Centurion store, which opened its doors earlier this year, saw long queues for months with thousands wanting a taste of the famous Wopper burger.
“We are thrilled to be able to bring the BURGER KING™ offerings closer to Pretoria. Since we first launched in South Africa, we have received a warm welcome here, and we believe that the community of Pretoria will take full advantage of having this iconic brand in their backyard,” said Jaye Sinclair, CEO of BURGER KING™ South Africa.
Pretoria citizens of all ages took part in the soccer-inspired entertainment, while they queued patiently to experience the quality and freshness that has made this fast food restaurant so iconic.
Pieter de Lange, who braved the long queue and cold weather, said that he was very happy to finally enjoy a burger.
“I’ve heard so much about BURGER KING™ but never had the chance to have something from their menu. Today was my turn and I am very pleased,” he said.
