SCHOOL: Maragon Mooikloof is ‘nerd’ proud
Today, everyone wants to be a geek or nerd or have one in their corner.
Some might remember when geek or nerd was a derogatory term for a non-athletic person who wore thick glasses and had no friends.
Today, everyone wants to be a geek or nerd or have one in their corner.
This is the person that is fascinated by complicated subjects – be it mathematics, gaming, fantasy, literature, science, technology, art and many more.
Maragon Mooikloof celebrated and embraced its geeks at a Maragon Wanting to be a Nerd day.
“This reminds us that we’re not alone and the world is a better place for our bright stars showing off their imagination and creativity with pride!”, says principal Chris Zaayman.
“We thank all the teachers and students that made it such a fun, innovative and interactive day. We are extremely proud of our nerds.”
