SCHOOL: Maragon Olympus’s own entrepreneur

He eagerly started assisting learners who needed help.

Evan van Eeden is a Grade 1 learner in Maragon Olympus.

He finds solutions for every problem and does not let anything stand in his way.

He thoroughly enjoys the Global Competencies programme implemented in school and has practical solutions for most problems.

While observing the children playing at break, he noticed all the grass burns, bruises and cuts.

He once again came up with a brilliant plan.

He brought his own bright reflective jacket for visibility and his own first aid kit.

He eagerly started assisting learners who needed help.

He soon realised that he needed more money to replace his supplies and made yet another plan.

He decided to use his mother’s nail polish and offered to paint the nails of the ladies passing their house for a small fee.

Quite a few of the teachers, as well as his mom’s friends, have been making use of his services. He even convinced his mom to print his own business cards so that he could be more efficient.

Here at Maragon Olympus, learners have the opportunity to dream big even if it is preceded by small actions.
