GALLERY: Music day in aid of Pretoria charity a roaring success

The event was hosted by Careson Angel and supported by Rea le Roux vocal academy with the aim of raising funds to provide food for underprivileged families.

A fundraising event was held in style at Die Boskombuis, Rayton in the east of Pretoria on Saturday.

Music was the order of the day at the Careson Angel’s music day.

The kids danced to every song and showed off their singing talent.

The event was hosted by Careson Angel and supported by Rea le Roux vocal academy with the aim of raising funds to provide food for underprivileged families.

Attendees were asked to bring tinned food, clothes and blankets in lieu of entrance fee.

Careson Angel is a non-profit organisation that looks after 55 disabled children and adults around Claremont, Booysens, Hercules, Daarspoort, Hermanstad, Danville and Elandspoort.

The organisation was established in 2015 and provides the families with food, clothes and blankets.

“We make a living by what we get but make a life by what we give,” said co-founder of Careson Angel Carlene Smith.

Stella’Q and Ben Swanepoel did their part donating a trailer full of goodies including toiletries and groceries among other things.

Owner of Die Boskombuis, Reneé Thompson sponsored the venue and awarded all the kids for their dancing efforts with a free soft drink.

“The community supports me, so I felt I also had to return the favour.

Little Charmaine Dante-Lee van Zyl wowed the crowd with her energetic performance.
