Msimanga encourages teamwork in 2018

“I have been touched by the way in which communities are coming together to help each other.”

Tshwane mayor Solly Msimanga has reflected on the coming year and urged residents to be safe.

“During the last year in office, I had the opportunity to visit the different communities in the city and I was reminded that there is still so much we need to do to uplift the standards of the living of the majority of people in our city,” said Msimanga.

“I have been touched by the way in which communities are coming together to help each other.”

Msimanga said this served as evidence that the city had come closer towards achieving a liveable, resilient and inclusive status.

“Just over one year since taking office, this DA-led multi-party administration continues to work hard to rebuild Tshwane.”

Msimanga commended members of the mayoral committee, top management and all other metro employees for their hard work and dedication.

“To our VIPs, the residents of Tshwane, I would like to thank you for your patience with us during the last year of transition, for understanding that the change you want to see, will take time. I ask that in 2018 you continue to work with us so that together we can build this beautiful city that we all call home.

“I want to wish you all a happy New Year,” he said.
