Lynwood house fire claims one

A person has died in a house fire near Kings Highway in Lynnwood.

Just after 21:00 on Sunday, September 11, emergency services responded to a fire in Lynnwood.

Emer-G-Med medics said they declared the man dead on their arrival.

A spokesperson for Emer-G-Med said that the cause of the fire was still unknown. One adult, presumed a man, was found “burned beyond recognition”.

The case was handed to the SAPS for investigation into the cause of the fire.
