Veld fire on the N4 contained

The Apiesrivier Rural Fire Protection Association managed to successfully extinguish a veld fire along the N4 this afternoon.
Member of the association, Craig Brown, used his bunker suit jacket as a fire beater to easily contain the fire.
No injuries were reported.
The cause of the fire is unknown.
Residents are reminded that technicians are still working on resolving the issue affecting the Tshwane Emergency Service Department and to report fire and rescue incidents to the following numbers 083 232 5398 or 082 879 1191.
For ambulance services call 112 as the 10177 is being discontinued.
