Emergency services department resolves contact number technical woes

“Dial our 107 toll-free number across all cellular phone network providers and landline for a fire or life-threatening emergency.”

Ongoing technical problems with the Tshwane emergency service department’s contact numbers were resolved, the department said on Thursday morning.

“Please be informed that the technical problem regarding the Tshwane emergency services contact numbers has been resolved and our lines are back online,” spokesperson Charles Mabaso said.

Problems with the department’s contact numbers began a week ago on Thursday, February 24.

“Dial our 107 toll-free number across all cellular phone network providers and landline for a fire or life-threatening emergency,” he said.

“You may save a life by ensuring that you know and share the emergency number with those you interact with daily or various platforms. It is only three digits, one-zero-seven.”

Mabaso continued to thank the public for their cooperation and using the alternative numbers they provided when they experienced technical problems with their contact number.
