New York-based Jann Klose performs in Pretoria this week

Do not miss this exceptional talent, coming to Pretoria on Thursday.

New York-based singer-songwriter, Jann Klose will be performing in Pretoria this week with his In Tandem Acoustic SA Tour and local rising star, Charlie Finch, joining him.

Tickets are still on sale for his show at Café Barcelona in Pretoria on Thursday, 22 November.

The music video for Klose’s “Love High”, the second single off his latest studio album In Tandem, came together after Klose reached out to his friend and collaborator, Tony Award-winning choreographer Yo-EL Cassell.

Now a professor at Boston University (BU), Cassell connected Klose with recent BU graduates director/producer Klaudyna Astramowicz and director of photography, Wyatt Ward.

Both joined to create the music video for “Love High”, which features several NYC-based dancers and actors. The shoot took place in a single day in Williamsburg, Brooklyn and centres around a dreamscape setting in which the lead character connects with lovers of the past and future during a daydream.

“‘Love High’ is about that moment in a relationship where you realise the physical aspect will most likely outweigh the emotional. You reach a point in the relationship where you have to let go because it can only go so far,” said Klose.

Klose gathered some of SA’s top musicians while recording “Love High” and the single features Sakhile Nkosi (who also performs with AKA) on bass, Ezra Erasmus (Idols SA, John Legend) on keys, Leagan Breda (Lira, Trevor Noah) on drums and Raymond Green (Idols SA) on featured electric guitar. Produced by RJ Benjamin, mixed by Rici Martins and mastered by Ben Kesler.
