Man wanted for CBD robbery

Pretoria police have released the identikit of a man wanted for robbing a woman in the CBD earlier this week.

The suspect is wanted for questioning after he was allegedly involved in robbing the woman at the Sanlam Centre on the corner of Thabo Sehume and Francis Baard streets on Monday.

“According to the victim, she was approached by two unknown men the minute she got out of her car,” said police spokesperson Captain Augustinah Selepe.

“The suspects took out a knife and threatened her before grabbing her cellphone and cash.”

The two then managed to get away with her belongings.

Selepe said one of the suspects was in his mid-30s or early 40s.

He was reported to be wearing a grey T-shirt.
