A woman (61) was shot and killed during a house robbery in Kameeldrift in the early hours of Sunday.
Police spokesperson Mavela Masondo said two men allegedly forced the security gate of the smallholding east of Pretoria and entered the house.
“They then tied up the couple, their daughter and grandchild,” he said.
“The suspects then shot the woman, aged 61, in the upper body.”

She was certified dead at the scene.
The two men allegedly stole a grey Isuzu car belonging to the family as well as two cell phones.
Masondo said a case of murder and house robbery would be investigated.
“Police are appealing to anyone who might have information that can help in the investigation to please call the nearest police station or call crime stop on 08600 10111.”
