UPDATE: Case against Menlyn ‘Rolex robbers’ postponed

The six men are currently out on bail, according to the NPA.

The case against six men who were arrested following a robbery at a jewellery store in Menlyn was postponed to next month.

The six men allegedly robbed Menlyn’s Vault jewellery store before fleeing with an undisclosed number of Rolex watches.

National Prosecuting Authority (NPA) spokesperson Phindi Louw said the men appeared briefly in the Pretoria Magistrates’ Court on Friday morning.

“The six men were allowed bail when they made their appearance last week. They appeared today again and the matter was postponed to 3 August for further investigation,” she said.

Last month, a video went viral which showed a gang robbing a jewellery store in Menlyn.
