NEWSFLASH: Centurion man dies after struck by lightning
“Another man sustained minor injuries but he refused transportation to a hospital.”
A 28-year-old man was killed after being struck by lightning.
ER24 spokesperson Ineke van Huyssteen said this happened in Eldoraigne, Centurion around 16:30.
“When ER24 paramedics arrived on the scene, they found the man lying on the roof.”

Van Huyssteen said upon further assessment it was found that he had sustained fatal injuries and he was declared dead on the scene.
“Another man sustained minor injuries, but he refused transportation to a hospital.”

Van Huyssteen said it is believed that the two men were working on a roof when they were struck by lightning.
“The circumstances surrounding the incident were not yet known to our paramedics, but the police were on the scene for further investigation.”
The police has not been reached for comment.
