WATCH: Silverton man busted for ‘assault’ on municipal electrician

In the video the man is seen pulling and strangling the electrician while two elderly men try to intervene.

A 26-year-old man has been arrested for allegedly assaulting a municipal electrician in Silverton.

In a video captured during the incident on Wednesday, the man can be seen pulling and strangling the electrician while two elderly men try to intervene.

He went on to drag the worker on the ground, repeatedly pushing and pulling him and was eventually pulled away.

It is believed the electrician and a colleague were doing some electrical work on a pole outside the man’s house in Fountain Street when he approached them.

The man was eventually found in Moregloed in the northern part of Pretoria, where he was arrested and charged with assault.
