The theft of medium voltage cables along Garsfontein Road has left some areas in the east of Pretoria without electricity on Tuesday.
The damage caused the circuit breakers in the Mooikloof substation to trip, thus causing an outage which affected Mooikloof and surrounding suburbs.
The city’s system operators and electricians are attending to the incident according to city spokesperson Lindela Mashigo.
