NOTICE: Venue change for Pretoria Carols by candlelight concert

Spar Carols by Candlelight to be held at NG Moreletapark.

Rain that is expected to pour for the remainder of the day has led to the change in venue for the Spar Carols by Candlelight concert with Jacaranda FM on Tuesday evening.

The event has been shifted to the NG Kerk Moreletapark in De Villebois Mareuil Drive, from Loftus Versfeld stadium.

According Jacaranda FM, all other arrangements will remain the same – gates open at 16:00 and the event will commence at 19:00.

Marketing manager Minisha Patel said the rain should not dampen the festive cheer.

Patel said: “Spar and Jacaranda FM have done everything possible to allow the show to go on, so bring your family and friends, your picnic baskets and a toy for a child in need, and join us for an evening for the whole family, with a stellar cast singing all of the festive tunes you love.”

The line-up is expected to feature Charlize Berg, Elvis Blue, Jo Black, Juanita du Plessis, Karen Zoid, Refentse and Joe Niemand, as well as the Mzansi Youth Choir.

Jacaranda FM will broadcast live from the event to celebrate the mark the beginning of the festive season being in full force.

Entry to the event is free but attendees are encouraged to bring along a toy.

The radio station noted tins, glasses, bottle openers, hard cooler bags, alcohol, firearms, horns, fire-crackers and video cameras would not be allowed into the venue.
