High fashion on show in Brooklyn for cancer fundraising

The prestigious event was hosted by Victor Photography in aid to raise money for CANSA.

Victor Oliveira Photography’s fashion show, “A love affair with fashion and art”, was held on Saturday in aid of Cancer Association of South Africa (CANSA).

The extravagant show was hosted at St Lorient Boutique and Art Gallery in Brooklyn.

The art exhibition featured a wonderful array of artists and designers.

Event director Mikella Efstratiou said the main aim was to raise money for CANSA.

“The art exhibition included Loayo Art and artists Simon Hadebe, Olwethu de Vos, Ilandi Barkhuizen, Neo Mahlangu and Jona Schilling. The rooftop fashion show showcased stunning designs by St Lorient, The Klosette, Loayo Creations, Judith Nel and jewellery by Sjoe,” she said.

“Prizes included a handcrafted Sjoe set and an original fine artwork sponsored by Lucy Anastasiades. A Swarovski crystal pen was raffled, as were three St Lorient evening gowns to raise further funds for CANSA by Claire Gardiner, ambassador for CANSA and Mrs SA Charity.”

The event MC was Kriya Gangiah of Jacaranda FM and models included Miss Earth 2017, Irini Moutzouris and Miss Hellene 2016, Mikaela Papazopoulos.

Efstratiou thanked Ocean Basket Brooklyn, Food Lovers Market, Barmotion and Pick and Pay, Cherrylane, who donated refreshments for the event.

Guests received gift bags from Carrol Boyes and Victor Oliveira Photography.
