Pakistani student organisation to march in the CBD

Marchers are expected to hand over a memorandum at 13:00 and disperse at 14:00.

A march organised by the Muttahida Quami Movement will take place in the CBD on Monday.

Muttahida Quami is a student organisation from Pakistan.

The march is apparently in conjunction with Pakistan’s independence day celebrations taking place across the world.

Another reason is thought to be regarding the killings of Muslim immigrants in Pakistan.

The marchers will gather at the State Theatre from 11:45.

From there they will move to the United Nations office on Francis Baard Street at 12:30.

Marchers are expected to hand over a memorandum at 13:00 and disperse at 14:00.
