“We have started in Mamelodi, we hope to reach out to all parts of Tshwane,” said the team’s supporters coordinator, Daisy Kgopa.

The team also roped in some popular actors from SABC drama Skeem Saam as they went about trying to win the minds and the hearts of the young ones.

Kgopa said the objective of the drive was not only to increase support but also to create brand awareness among the young supporters based in schools.

“We want to inculcate the culture of school going children to support the club from their young age,” she said.

“We also organised motivational talks to learners on the importance of education and sports in schools.”

She said the team aimed to impart relevant knowledge pertaining to sports and healthy lifestyle devoid of substance abuse to learners and supporters at various schools.

Kubheka said they also wanted to thank the young supporters for their unwavering support throughout the season with the CAF Super Cup and CAF Champions League Cup that the team won recently.
