Nu Metro Cinemas has confirmed the east of Pretoria will now have its own all-new, all-luxury Scene VIP cineplex at Parkview – following the opening of SA’s first ever Scene VIP complex at Nu Metro Hyde Park in September.
Nu Metro’s new Scene VIP complex opened at the Parkview shopping centre on 11 November.
All cinemas feature the latest world-class sound, projection and screen technology, along with new seating, interior decor and space design.
Scene VIP is Nu Metro’s first class cinema option and includes a luxury lounge – where cinema-goers can order delectable food items: sweet and savoury, hot or cold drinks and standard soda or popcorn options.
Scene VIP at Parkview will also be licensed later this year, which is good news for those cinema fans who like to enjoy a glass of wine or something a bit stronger with their favourite movie.
Scene VIP cinemas include luxury recliner seats and a personalised waiter service.
To celebrate the opening of Nu Metro’s first ever Scene VIP cineplex in Pretoria at Parkview, 10 Rekord readers with partners can win tickets to a special pre-release screening of Jonathan on opening night, Friday 11 November. Tickets will also include free coke and popcorn for each guest.
Jonathan marks the first comedic outing for acclaimed producer, writer and director Sallas de Jager.
De Jager is best known for period dramas such as Verraaiers, Roepman and most recently, Free State. His new film, Jonathan, is inspired by the Internet-sensation Jonathan from Radio Raps-fame.
It also heralds the big screen debut for Rikus de Beer – the man behind the hilarious and beloved Jonathan-character. Apart from De Beer, the film’s cast includes a who’s who of local acting giants – names such as Brumilda van Rensburg, Paul Eilers, Anel Alexander, Jacques Bessenger, Eric Nobbs, Rika Sennett, Albert Pretorius, Frank Opperman, Lizz Meiring and Beate Opperman.
Jonathan releases in general from 2 December 2016.
