You can now apply online for a lost or damaged matric certificate

Candidates can access the system from anywhere using their computers or cell phones, to apply directly to Umalusi to replace their lost or damaged certificates.

Former matriculants from different parts of the country including Randfontein who have lost or damaged matric certificates can now breathe a sigh of relief as they can now apply online for a replacement certificate.

This comes as Umalusi launched its newly implemented Online Application System for Replacement Certificates on Thursday, March 30, through a webinar.

Umalusi is a council for quality assurance in general and Further Education and Training. What this means is that candidates can access the system from anywhere using their computers or cell phones, to apply directly to Umalusi to replace their lost or damaged certificates. At a cost of R137, a candidate can collect a replacement certificate from Umalusi within two working days of the application.

Alternatively, a candidate can pay R202 to have the certificate sent within seven working days to their chosen physical address anywhere in the country. This breaks down the cost above to R137 for the certificate and R65 for the courier fees.
