Young beauty queen to represent SA at USA pageant

She will be representing South Africa in the USA's international Junior Miss 2022 pageant on November 18 but she needs funds to get her there and realise her dream.

The eight-year-old Resegofetse Mothupi has been selected to grace the runway in a beauty pageant in the United States of America, but she is in need of funds to get her there and realise her dream.

She will be representing South Africa in the USA’s international Junior Miss 2022 pageant on November 18.

The Mohlakeng resident believes the sky is the limit for her in the modelling space.

“My daughter has always been a shy child who found it hard to engage and play with other children,” her mother Remofilwe Mothupi said in an interview with the Herald.

“We thought perhaps signing her up for pageants would help to get her out of her shell, and we are happy we did. She was so excited to be part of that world and that’s because she loves taking pictures of herself.” However, they need R25 000 that will go towards travel expenses.

Resegofetse is in Grade 3 at the Randfontein Primary School. With over 50 titles to her name, the young beauty queen hopes to bag yet another title in the USA. Her role model is her pageantry instructor Refilwe Mangope who was Miss Randfontein 2020/ 21.

Donations can be paid directly into Resegofetse’s Capitec Account number 1658932062 and her mother Remofilwe Mothupi can be contacted on 067 663 6391.
