South African COTY announced online
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic and the lockdown measures, the South African Guild of Motoring Journalists and the event sponsor Autotrader has decided to reveal the winner of the 2020 AutoTrader South African Car of the Year competition.
Rigorous testing was conducted earlier this year where new and seasoned members of the jury evaluated the vehicles in real-world driving, emergency braking, lane changing and aquaplaning scenarios. Each member of the jury member electronically submitted their scores for each vehicle via an online platform that remained open only during the testing days after which a third party company tallied up the scores.
Taking place via a live stream on both a dedicated website for the competition and YouTube at 3 PM on Tuesday 21 April 2020 is the announcement of the winner of the 2020 AutoTrader South African Car of the Year competition.
