Success Seroka said despite facing many misfortunes, success is the only thing he will strive for, not only for himself, but for others as well.
This 25-year-old rapper from Toekomsrus, who is renowned for dancing, rapping and singing, said he will stop at nothing to help young aspiring artists to realise their dreams.
Success has taken it upon himself to train young people in his community and take them to studios where they can record their music for the whole world to see and enjoy.
“This is simply because I believe I have a responsibility to make sure that I contribute to the arts community,” Success said.
However, getting where he is today was not a walk in the park, as he came across challenges that almost made him quit. But because he knew that there are people out there who needed his help, he said he chose to be resilient.
“I realised that it was not for me, but for those who needed my inspiration. The truth is, we are living for the next person, and by simply giving up you are setting back generational progress,” Success said.
He added that he is inspired on a daily basis by people who consistently show him support and encourage him to push beyond the boundaries.
“My former teachers gave me the confidence to break out of my shell and make the world my oyster. And my principal always told me that I should keep pushing myself beyond the limits.
“My vision for the future is not only to see myself on a bigger platform of influence and dominion, but also, and most importantly, to see the lives of the youngsters in my community change. If I can help just a few of them, I’ll be happy, because those few will also bring about the change that I long for,” Success added.
