Trials showcase soccer talent

Greenhills Super Tigers Football Academy hosts their first set of trials to scout new talent.

The Greenhills Super Tigers Football Academy hosted trials recently to advocate sport among the youth.

Over three days, the football club hosted their trials for both boys and girls. The U13 to U15 teams had their trials first followed by the U17 to U23 teams.

Club founder Ace Duiker and club captain Stavo Monjane organised the trials to offer new opportunities to the youth.

According to Ace, they wanted to enhance the love that the players have for football.

He further mentioned on the day multiple players showcased their passion for the sport. However, he stated they have not reached their goal as of yet and will continue with the trials until the end of October.

“Football is a career opportunity for those who cannot read or write as well as for those who can. It also limits the risk of crime among the youth while motivating other children who are still growing. It entertains the world,” Ace explained.
