‘Your health is your wealth’ – fitness trainer speaks about fitness

The fitness trainer speaks about his fitness journey.

Fitness trainer Sipho Lucky Chasana (34) realised the consequences of being overweight and spoke to the Randfontein Herald on the importance of fitness as a trainer.

Chasana recalled applying fitness to his life at a very young age but his journey to reclaim his body only started in 2015 and thereafter, decided to make fitness a tradition and he mentioned that it changed his life.

Chasana explained the positive effect that fitness has on individuals, especially him.

“On a physical level, fitness keeps a person looking good. When a person looks good, they also feel good. Fitness helps build confidence. A person who exercises is less likely to become sick. Not only does fitness help with physical matters, but emotional ones as well. Exercising scientifically reduces stress and anxiety by ensuring a positive state of mind,” Chasana stated.

According to Chasana, it is best to stay consistent. He explained that keeping the weight off is much easier than to lose weight. He stated that once you are overweight, it is hard to lose that weight.

He claimed that a person has to make the gym a priority and make fitness a part of their daily life.

“Your health is your wealth. Make the gym a part of your life so that you do not suffer the consequences. You do not have to exercise for three hours. Just be more active so that you can live a healthy life,” he said.

He added that he applies fitness to his daily life.

“I live for fitness. Even when I have a bad day, I know that I will be going to the gym. People always say that they do not have time for the gym, but you have to make time. If I do not have any other plans, the gym is my only plan. When I’m not at the gym, I am resting my body. I usually gym three days a week.”

He shared that he has helped a lot of people who struggle with weight. He expressed that he is grateful to see the result of his work and to see his clients happy. It motivates him to give his best while helping people.
