Westgold athletes on fire!
Their athletes did exceptionally well, bagging 10 first places.
Westgold Primary School’s athletics season started on a high note with learners enjoying every minute of it.
School spokesperson Mariska du Plessis said they recently had two friendly athletics gatherings.
On Thursday, February 2 they were at Laerskool Bekker and their athletes did exceptionally well, bagging 10 first places, 13 seconds, and 22 third places for the school. They also participated at Randfontein Primary School on Saturday, February 4 where they received five first places, 11 second places, and 17 third places.
“Our biggest achievement so far was our Circle B athletics held at our school on Wednesday, February 8 where our athletes stood out head and shoulders. We achieved 45 first places, 37 second places, and 28 third places. We look forward to a terrific athletic season for 2023!” said Mariska.
