Yet another fun day on the bowling green

Numerous people came together on a bright sunny day to enjoy the Randfontein Bowling Club's fun day.

There was yet another fun-filled event at the Randfontein Bowling Club where multiple players came to enjoy themselves.

This is definitely a sport for young and old, beginner and intermediate. This was clear this past weekend as everyone came to enjoy the day and learn more about the game. It’s amazing how this sport can bring complete strangers together as they root for their teammates to do well, some of whom they didn’t even know a few seconds before.

During the fun day on Sunday, October 2, not even the extreme heat could keep the enthusiastic players off the greens as teams prepared to play 14 shots (rounds).

The day was filled with laughter, smiles, fun and celebratory shouts when a teammate did well, and after seven shots there was a break and the players could get some refreshments and put on a new layer of sunscreen as the sun wasn’t shy at all.

At the end of the game, the bowlers could enjoy a braai and catch up with their teammates and other players.

You can always count on the Randfontein Bowling Club to host wonderful fun days where everyone can come and try their hand at bowling.
