RandMark steals show at Dullstroom Stage Race

The riders completed a total distance of 225km with an elevation of more than 3 500.

The RandMark club recently took part in the Dullstroom Stage Race in Mpumalanga, where the riders completed a total distance of 225km with an elevation of more than 3 500.

Club spokesperson Lee Kotze said the race, which was organised by Stofpad Events was very successful.

The route was marked and the water points had everything the riders needed to complete the stage race.

The locals were in charge of the water points and it was fully stocked with muffins, coffee, Coke, pancakes, energy drinks and jellies,” said Thinus Forbes.

Kotze said the farm community atmosphere could be felt the moment they arrived.

“It was a great experience worth every penny. Our entry fees included a T-shirt, socks, bike wash after each stage and lunch,” said Forbes.

The prize-giving was a highlight for the Randmark Mountain Bikers. There was such a big camaraderie between participants and staff, and he would like everyone to enter next year’s race.
