‘He wants to play for the Proteas one day’

A Grade 2 learner at Westgold dreams of representing the national men's cricket team.

Asher Katazuka, a Grade 2 learner at Westgold Primary School has big aspirations in the game of cricket.

Asher was recently chosen for the U/8 Rand West Cricket team and played in the Gauteng West Tournament that took place from November 26 to November 28. He now dreams of representing the national men’s cricket team.

“His role model is Kagiso Rabada and his biggest dream is to play for the Proteas one day,” said school spokesperson Mariska du Plessis.
