RandMark riders welcome the Christmas spirit

RandMark cyclists had all their bikes decorated in Christmas lights and rode to many decorated houses to bring their well-wishes.

At least 52 cyclists of the RandMark Walk, Run and Cycle Club took to the streets on Tuesday night, 8 December to welcome the Christmas spirit.

During the ride, they stopped at numerous homes decorated with Christmas lights to wish people well for the festive season.

Mike Reid, Mountain Bike representative for RandMark said they visited the decorated homes to help spread the cheer and show appreciation to the homeowners.

“We had all our bikes decorated in Christmas lights and took a ride to every house to bring them our well-wishes,” Mike said.

Marius van Tonder was also one of the riders. Photo submitted.

He added that they visited houses in suburbs such as Helikon Park, Greenhills, Homelake and Randgate.

It was simply for enjoyment and just to create momentum in light of Christmas that’s upon us. We also wanted our members to get out a bit because they’ve been through quite a lot this year; we thought they could do with getting out and welcoming Christmas time,” Mike said.

Danielle Nagel and Angelique Ayres were also part of the ride. Photo submitted.
