Local bodybuilder makes a comeback

After a ten year sabbatical from bodybuilding, Thabo Molupu has made a comeback in the game to show the youngsters how it's done.

After a 10-year hiatus from bodybuilding, Thabo Pulumo of Mohlakeng has made a comeback in the game to show the youngsters how it’s done.

The 48-year-old, who goes by the nickname Van Damme (similar to famous actor Jean-Claude Van Damme who is renowned for his karate skills), said he started weightlifting in 1994 so that he could impress girls with his big guns (arms), but later it developed into something he was passionate about.

Thabo said that this year, he has been preparing intensely for the Arnold Classic Qualifier 2020, that will be held on Saturday 2 November.

“I am preparing so that I can, once again, make a mark as a comeback in the game, and show the public what bodybuilding really is,” he added confidently.
