Town’s EFC mechanic loses for first time in 10 fights

Randfontein's EFC fighter, Quinton Rossouw, suffered his first defeat in 10 fights at EFC 82, held at The Big Top Arena, Carnival City recently.

Randfontein’s EFC fighter, Quinton Rossouw, suffered his first defeat in 10 fights, going down to Simon Biyong in a Light Heavyweight Title Fight during EFC 82, which was held at The Big Top Arena, Carnival City in late September.

According to his coach, Henk Pelser, a lack of preparation cost Quinton the fight.

“His performance was OK, but the problem was that the other fighter was better prepared, stronger and better on the day,” Pelser said.

He added that in EFC, fighters are required to train extremely hard – at least three hours a day.

“At least one hour in the morning and two hours in the evening would’ve given him a better chance. I do believe if he trained harder, he would’ve stood a chance. We will go back to the drawing board and come back stronger,” he said.
