Petrolheads go for a spin at Oval Raceway

Drivers stunned the crowd with their spinning moves during a whole day of fun at the Randfontein Oval Raceway in July.

The spinning segment of the programme at the Randfontein Oval Raceway left spectators marvelling at the skill the drivers exhibited on Saturday, 13 July.

The ‘toys’ that were showcased ranged from bakkies, Volkswagen Golfs, family hatchbacks, BMWs and even SUVs.

Even this Nissan bakkie took to the track to compete in spinning.

Marilize Coetzee, promoter of the Randfontein Oval Raceway, said the spinning event was meant to entertain car fanatics and petrolheads, and that various drivers were given the opportunity to display their thrilling talents.

“The spinning event is one of the things that our visitors enjoy the most. It really gets the adrenaline going and always creates great excitement among those who are watching,” Marilize said.
