Seven-a-side soccer tourney for kids in Greenhills
Socca Kidz, together with the Barachel Christian Academy will be hosting an invitational tournament (seven-a-side) for soccer players from ages six to 20 at the Greenhills Stadium today.
Anton Meerkotter is a Sport Mental Coach who uses sport psychology methods to achieve the ultimate sport performance. He, together with Barachel Christian Academy will be hosting an invitational tournament for soccer players from ages six to 20 at the Greenhills Stadium on Saturday, 18 May.
“The event will take place on the A rugby field where more than 20 teams will be participating. They are expecting between 160 and 200 kids to attend. The first games will kick off at 8am and the last ones will finish at 4.30pm,” Joy Hamann, publicity officer at the Randfontein Publicity Association said.
She explained that the tournament focuses on development and will include Socca Kidz, Aster Private Academy from Carletonville, Grace Christian Academy, BCA, Burning Boys FC from Carletonville and Tsogo Sun Academy from Kagiso.
“The aim is to create an opportunity for soccer players from schools and clubs to attend development tournaments and to unearth stars of the future,”Joy added.
