Strongman Show wows Sungate birthday crowd
Weights were not an obstacle for the women and men at Sungate Farms' 23 birthday celebration and Strongman Show this past weekend.
The Strongman Show entertained the crowd at Sungate Farms’ 23rd birthday celebration held on Saturday, 29 September.
The show is usually a big drawcard for Randfonteiners, as both men and women showcase their strengths by taking part in various items and forms of heavy weightlifting.
Gerhard van Staden, coordinator of the Strongman Challenge said, “We were part of the charity event in which we were simply demonstrating Strongman. Our participants engaged in activities such as over the head weightlifting, the flipping of a tractor tyre in which they go beyond their limits and by pushing extra weight. They also took on the challenge of dead-lifting.”
