What not to miss in sport this weekend!

Here’s what’s happening in the sporting world on 21 and 22 July.

The Herald has compiled a list of some must-see sporting action to be broadcast on television on Saturday, 21 July and Sunday, 22 July.

SATURDAY, 21 JULY:

• Rugby:

Rugby fans will be glued to their couches from as early as midnight for the Rugby World Cup Sevens featuring both SA men’s and women’s teams. The men will be in action at 6.13am and 7.30am, and women at 7am against Russia. The knockout rounds are from 6pm.

The quarter-finals of Super Rugby continues on Saturday as early as 9.35am when the defending champs, the Crusaders, host the SA team, the Sharks, followed by the Waratahs and Highlanders at noon, and finally the Lions and Jaguares at 3pm.

If that doesn’t tickle your fancy, try the following …

• Day 1 of the IAAF Diamond League in London (athletics) from 3pm

• Stage 14 of the Tour de France (cycling) at 1.10pm

• Qualifying rounds of the Formula One Grand Prix in Germany (motorsport) at 2.55pm

• Day 2 of the Second Test between Sri Lanka and Proteas (cricket) from as early as 6.25am

• SA women’s hockey team against Germany at the Women’s Hockey World Cup (hockey) from 12.50pm

SUNDAY, 22 JULY

• Rugby:

The Rugby World Cup Sevens continues from as early as midnight! Don’t miss it!

If that doesn’t tick all the boxes for you, try the following …

• Day 3 of the Second Test between Sri Lanka and Proteas (cricket) from as early as 6.25am.

• First ODI between West Indies and Bangladesh (cricket) at 3.15pm

• Main race of the Formula One Grand Prix in Germany (motorsport) at 3.05pm

• Stage 15 of the Tour de France (cycling) from 12.55pm

• IBO Minimumweight Title fight between Simphiwe Khonco and. Robert Villarma Landero at 2pm

• Maimane Phiri Games final (football) at 4.55pm
