What not to miss in sport this weekend!

Here's what's happening in the sporting world this weekend.

The Herald has compiled a list of some of the must-see sporting events that will be screened on television on Saturday, 12 May and Sunday, 13 May.

SATURDAY, 12 MAY

Rugby:

• Round 13 of the Super Rugby starts in Japan, where the bottom of the log Sunwolves host Australia’s Reds as early as 5.10am followed by the defending champs the Crusaders vs the Waratahs at 7.10am, the Highlanders and Lions at 9.30am, the Brumbies and Rebels at 11.40am, Stormers and Chiefs at 3pm and finally an all-SA derby between the Bulls and Sharks at 5pm. Not to miss is the European Champions Cup final between Leinster from Ireland and Racing 92 from France at 5.40pm.

Football:

• Three SA teams to go head-to-head in the ABSA Premiership from 2.50pm today is Supersport United and Baroka; Celtic against Sundowns; and Ajax Cape Town against Kaizer Chiefs.

Cricket:

• Indian Premier League (IPL) action starts at 12.15pm with the Kings XI Punjab taking on the Kolkota Knight Riders, followed by the Delhi Daredevils and Royal Challengers Bangalore in action at 4.15pm.

And, if you are looking for something different, catch the following …

• IAAF Diamond League: Shanghai (Athletics) from 12.55pm

• Stings v Flames and Fireballs v Sunbirds (Netball) from 4.55pm and 6.45pm respectively

• Indycar GP (Motorsport) from 9.30pm

• Qualifying rounds of the F1 Spanish GP (Motorsport) from 2.55pm

SUNDAY, 13 MAY

Tennis:

• Sit down with mom for Mother’s Day at 6.30pm for the ATP1000 Madrid Open final.

Rugby:

• Tune in from 12.30pm for some SuperSport Rugby Challenge action between the Griquas and Free State followed by the Leopards and Sharks at 2.45pm.

Cricket:

• The IPL continues at 12.15pm with the Chennai Super Kings taking on the Sunrisers Hydrebad, followed by the Mumbai Indians and Rajastan Royals in action at 4.15pm.

• FIG World Challenge Cup (Rhythmic gymnastics) from 5pm

• Superbike World Championship (Motorsport) from 12.55pm

• Giro d’Italia ’18 – Stage 9 (Cycling) from 1.05pm

• Jaguars v Stings and Fireballs v Aloes (Netball) from 9.45am and 11.45am respectively
