Soccer legends honour Dr Diale

Rand West City soccer legends honour local business owner Dr Manyane Diale with a certificate of appreciation award.

Rand West City soccer legends awarded a certificate of appreciation to local business owner, Dr Manyane Diale, a local funeral undertaker, for his involvement with the then Randfontein Soccer Legends in 2015.

Stanley Boom described Dr Diale as one of the most important stakeholders in the existence of the Rand West Soccer Legends, who are mostly retired soccer players, from administrators to technical personalities including teachers.

Stanley Boom, chairperson of Rand West Soccer Legends, Charles Green and the recipient of an award, Dr Manyane Diale.

“We also have other legends who are not necessarily soccer players, such as Peter Terror Mathebula, a former World Flyweight boxing champ, as well as Olympic athlete Bobang Phiri.

Our aim is to give back to the youth by way of soccer to correct social ills.”

Dr Diale has been an integral player in community development, hence the doctorate that was conferred on him by the University of South Africa (Unisa) last year.
