Strongmen, wrestlers invade town!

There was no shortage of adrenaline or testosterone at Sungate Farms' recent 22nd birthday bash.

There was no shortage of adrenaline and testosterone at Sungate Farms’ 22nd birthday bash recently, when a number of Strongmen showcased their strength and wrestlers pulled off their moves.

To start off, a team from SA Strongman kept the crowd on the edge of their chairs by lifting bars and pulling trucks while the women competitors impressed by pulling a huge bakkie. Yes, a huge bakkie!

Llewellyn Cordier, Geraldine van Aswegen and Gerhard van Staden.

Geraldine van Aswegen was one of them and showed she was in perfect shape. The crowd was also asked to join in, and that was a lot of fun. Everybody was laughing, while some of the residents surprised the crowd by actually lifting the heavy bars.

A Randfontein traffic officer was also asked to lift a metal bar and he did not do badly at all. Llewellyn Cordier, (Superman) posed with the children for photos and presented the Strong Man Team.

And then there were the wrestlers of WWP Wrestling Africa …

WWP Wrestling is Africa’s largest and most popular professional wrestling federation. They entertained residents with their wrestling action all through the day, and not just the men, but also the women wrestlers, were fierce and fearless.

Mathew Hammer and Allisio Frau were unstoppable! The children’s mouths hung open and moms were quick to explain to the kids that this is not something they should try to do.

Zephi, all the way from the Congo, had a lot of fighting spirit in him and Super X and Ripley (Danie Koen) also did not disappoint the crowd.

Andre Nunes, one of the owners of Sungate Farms, watched these events, satisfied that Randfontein residents enjoyed their 22nd Birthday Celebration.
